Nestled in the Annapurna Sanctuary, the Mardi Himal Trek is a spectacular 5-days hidden gem that offers an intimate and affordable Himalayan experience. This less-crowded route ascends through enchanting rhododendron forests to high alpine ridges, culminating in breathtaking, face-to-face views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Mardi Himal from the 4,500-meter base camp. Our itinerary may vary due to unforeseen circumstances such as flight delays, adverse weather, natural disasters, new government regulations, political issues, or health concerns. We will assess the situation to determine the best alternatives to continue the trek. We appreciate your cooperation and flexibility.
It's recommended to arrive a day before the trip begins so you have time to rest or purchase any necessary clothing, equipment, and gear for the trek.It's also advisable to schedule your international flights with extra days in Nepal before and after your trek in case of any technical-related flight delays or cancellations. Moreover, you have the option to customize this trip. You can add on a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu, Pokhara, other adventure sports, or day trips around the country before or after the trek.
Day 2 : Drive to Kande and Trek to Deurali
Breakfast at Mechi resort and drive to Kande.
Note: After breakfast, there will be a pre-trek meeting at Mechi Resort. During the meeting, we will introduce you to the trek leader/guide. Please take this opportunity to ask questions about the trek. We will also provide you with a duffel bag, for you to keep. Please take this time to repack items needed for the trek into the duffel bag. This will be carried by the porter during the trek. Luggage storage is available at Mechi Resort. Please ensure to keep all valuables with you. Please prepare a daypack carrying your essentials such as quick-dry T-shirt, water bottle (s), electrolytes and snacks.
Please ensure you bring your passport, two copies of passport-size photos, and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy for the meeting. Additionally, you need to sign a legally binding trip form as well as a non-liability disclaimer. The drive to Kande, the starting point of the trek, is about one and a half hours. Upon reaching there, we begin our trek on the beautiful trail and walk upwards to Deurali for about 4 hours.

Day 3 : Trek to Low Camp
After breakfast in the morning, we walk to Low Camp, which takes about 6 to 7 hours, a longer walk. The trail enters a quiet jungle of oak trees, maples, rhododendrons, etc.

Duration: 6-7 hrs trek

Day 4 : Trek to High Camp
After an early breakfast, we start trekking under the rhododendron forests to Badal Danda. The trail then follows grassy ridges, gradually ascending to High Camp. As we climb, trees thin, enhancing mountain views and decreasing temperatures. The trek takes 4-5 hours, with steep sections near High Camp.

Day 5 : Trek to Upper View Point/Base Camp and Trek Back to Low Camp
Begin the day at 5 am to reach the Upper View Point or Mardi Himal Base Camp, a 2-3 hour trek from High Camp. Tea and light snacks will be provided. Experience an unforgettable sunrise and panoramic views of South Mt. Annapurna, Himchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail). After enjoying the scenery, return to High Camp for breakfast. Post-lunch, rest briefly before a 2-hour descent to Low Camp (3,050 m).
Max. Altitude: Upper View Point (4,250 m) or Base Camp (4,120 m)
Duration: 6-7 hrs trek

Day 6 : Trek to Sidhing Village and Drive Back to Pokhara
We start our day with a descent experiencing a drastic change in elevation. After walking for around 3-4 hours, we will reach Sidhing Village. Then, enjoy a 2-3 hrs ride back to Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara, we celebrate the successful trek to Mardi Himal. In the evening, we host a farewell dinner at a fine restaurant. Your guide(s) and and trekking staff will accompany you.

Day 7 : Flight Back to Kathmandu, Departure to Your Home Country
We will take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. An optional city tour in Kathmandu will be included, dependent on your travel plans.Our Airport Representative will drop you off at Kathmandu International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.

No, prior trekking experience is not mandatory for the Mardi Himal Trek. However, a moderate level of physical fitness is recommended as the trek involves ascending to high altitudes and walking for several hours each day.
What is the accommodation like on the trek?
Accommodation on the trek consists mostly of basic teahouses. These are dormitory-style guesthouses with shared bathrooms. In Pokhara, you will stay in a 3-star hotel on a twin- sharing basis. Private rooms are available at an additional cost of USD 50/night
Are meals included during the trek?
Yes, all standard meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are included during the trek. Meals are prepared using local produce, and vegetarian options are widely available.
Do I need a guide for the trek?
